finally got the bike out of the garage today

sometimes i feel like all i do is work on this bike.  i finally got to take it out for a spin today.  im not 100% happy with the ride yet but it's getting there.

I feel ya my GF hates when I work on my bike.  I just got mine running sound had charging problems/wiring issues. 

Your bike looks great cosmetically what is going on with it?

thanks for the kind words.  i cant lie though...up close the engine looks a bit more tattered that it appears in the pics. my real issue is the carbs though.  The bike is running pretty good but still have fouling plugs and uneven throttle response.

Carbs are always fun ....not

I agree.  The bike looks great.  I have the same problem with the carbs and the fouling plugs.  Haven't taken a shot at them yet.  Not looking forward to it.

Taking the carbs apart isn't a big deal if you take your time and record the process with good pictures of everything, little baggies with notes, keeping all the parts for each carb together, and with new gaskets. I recommend the Yamaha carb cleaner.

I actually have taken them apart many times but I think i might need new float valves. also there are a few things out of sape.  I just aquired another set off ebay and I plan to clean them up and sum together the best parts to make one nice master set.
