cb750 rear wheel back to stock
« on: July 06, 2010, 07:09:08 PM »
my 76 cb750k has a 16 inch rear wheel. i'm interested in going back to the stock 18 inch wheel.
i have a set of mid-seventies cb550 wheels - the front cb550 wheel, minus the disc, seems identical to the front cb750 wheel. anybody know if this is the case?
and, will the back cb550 wheel (with 110 90 18 tire) work on the 750 if i change the sprocket? is the drum the same? tried a search on this but didn't come up with anything. thanks for any help.

I have a 550 front wheel on my bike, but I don't think the rear would work....750 wheel is much more heavy duty(bigger/wider hub)

thanks - did you swap out the speedo gear or can you use the 550 gear?

Would you be interested in trading your 16 inch wheel for an 18 inch one?
I have been wanting a 16 inch for my project bike.
