what batteries do you guys recommend to put in my 550, i have tried to find a agm type but have had no luck.

I definitely recommend an AGM.  They are out there, just do a google search for "agm 12a-a battery".

do you have a batteries plus or sears auto center around?  they both have PLENTY of AGM's for motorcycles and powersports.  just make sure you have enough amp hours to start the bike.  i don't remember which one i have, but it works well.  plan to spend $40-70.
