My 750K5 project
« on: November 17, 2010, 04:23:17 PM »
Well, I do not have many pictures to post as I have not been documenting my progress as much as I would have liked to. I have wanted to build a cafe racer for years but never got off my butt and took the initiative to get a bike. I bought my bike from a guy in St. Louis in June and immediately started stripping it apart. I put a battery in it, oil, and gas and it fired up. Stayed running but only with a bit of throttle. I have purchased almost everything I will need to get it fully done. My goal is to have the bike finished by early Feb since I am leaving for Afghanistan for a year.

Here she is the day I took here to her new home............ It was so bigggggg

I am doing the whole project in my friends cramped garage. Trying at times but it is the best place I have at the moment.
I should have most of my parts back from getting powder coated tomorrow and will post pics once I do. I am still looking for someone to paint my tank, fork ears, fender, and seat so suggestions are welcome.

Here is the bike all stripped down with my tank and seat seeing how it will look.
