going through some photos,,this was at the local showgrounds last year,550,,it was for sale,,dont know what he wanted for it,,probably too much anyway.not my cup of tea.

it wasnt registered,it came on a trailer,he rode it into position,those pipes sounded good at the low revs used to do it,,ill bet they sound shallow at full cry .

The worst part (for me) in building a hardtail or rigid Honda is that you get that large empty area when the tranny of a Hardley resides.

this was a one of at this show,check the detail skull on the rear brake ball pivot.,it was mostly real old stuff,like this

I have a question about the exhaust on these cb 4's, In my reading up on them I was under the impression that as far as the exhaust 1&3 and 2&4 fire alike and the pipes should be hooked up that way, is this true or have I misread the information? Of course then access to the oil filter would be compromised I thought that is why honda put a crossover tube on the stock exhaust pipes to equalize back pressure or something?

umm? no cross over tube on these bikes,,they do appear on others ,most of these run 4-4,or 4-2 or 4-1,a custom pipe might have it,err?,not really a done thing.

sorry about this guys butt,,err,this was the calibre of the show,like real old stuff.the honda was just umm,out there.

Not an actual cross over tube, but at the end of the mufflers on each side there is a connection (some type of hose and clamp) unless I am mistaken.
