Topic: Need another Minneapolis Member

Hey guys,

Since this is my first bike, and the first vehicle I've ever done any maintenance on, I'd like another experienced CB guy from this forum to come and take a look, and probably take a test ride to see how it feels, and if it's operating ok. Everything basically works (I think) but I really have nothing to base my idea of how it works, or how it should work on. I need someone to feel how the shocks are, if the breaks feel right, clutch is too tight/loose etc.

I nobody chimes in, I'll be there the weekend of the 23rd for a family reunion.  I'm pretty new to the old Honda's as well, but I've successfully brought my CB500, 550F, and 360t back from the dead (with help from this forum of course).

I'd be happy to take a look and give some (hopefully) helpful advice. 

What model/year/size bike is it?

I am in Minneapolis near downtown.  I have a 76F but don't have any experience with the 550 although I am going riding Sat with Vance who has a 78 550.  Where are you in the city?

I'm in South Mpls, around Lake Nokomis area. If I wasn't working all day today, I would have loved to be on the bike. Hopefully tomorrow's weather holds up for me

Hey there ane welcome,
I'm just across the river in St. Paul near the St. Thomas campus.  I have a 500 and I know the early 550 were similar so I might be of help.  I'm only open weekends though, I work 12:30 to 9pm during weekdays otherwise.  I also have access to a full shop since I'm a mechanic.
