Emgo Oil Filter O'rings
« on: July 27, 2010, 06:52:31 AM »
I noticed that the big o'ring supplied with the filter is much smaller in thickness or section diameter than the one that normally go there (in Honda part list, 89 x 4.5mm). I would be afraid that the cover may leak so I reused the old one.  I don't know if the small o'ring supplied is OK, so far no leak.

According to instructions on the filter box, it is suitable for the CB350F.

That means that I would have to buy proper O'ring from the Honda dealer.

Anyone encoutered the same thing?

I never noticed the difference in size so it never worried me, but I've been using the Emgo filters and o-rings for years in my 750 and 550 without any leaks.

I think that there was a thread about this before. I have had Emgo o-rings leak. I just used the old ring that came with the Fram filter. Never had another problem.
