Topic: 1975 Honda CB 550 carb drain plug

Hello, I lost a drain plug for my 550. It's the brass one on the bottom of the bowl that you drain the gas from. I found a guy on craigslist who has a plug off a 1978 Honda 750. Will this fit my bike?

I don't know for sure, but I think the '78 has the combined drain/overflow which is different from the earlier models that just have a drain plug.  I'll request that your post gets moved to the tech forum where you'll get a quicker answer from someone who does know for sure.

I'm not Greek, although I have been accused of being a geek...but that too proved to be false.

I did however meet Bellator152 today and he told me the part looked too different.  If someone could tell me the sizes, I'll try to make one.  I'm always looking for a not-too-critical need to practice my lathe skills.
