Sparto Tail light wiring
« on: July 13, 2010, 06:54:32 AM »
I want to put on one of these sparto style tail light assemblies on my bike.  As I was looking at them online, I noticed each one I saw had two wires.  Since the factory light has three, I want to ask how to wire it before I buy something I can't use!

In the stock light: green is ground, one is a running light, and one is a brake light.

I assume a two wire set up would be a ground and a.....??????

how do I hook up both the brake light and running light?

I bought one awhile back and I believe the two wires are tail light and brake light.  The ground goes through the body of the tail light and to the chassis.
All glory to the hypno-toad.

That would be my assumption as well, since I've discovered that modern turn-signals work the same way.

That is correct.
