   You'll never get that much Terry, not without shaving off that mustache, even then it would be a stretch. I mean you look hot and all but really, come back down to earth. You could use a bit of make-up too and try to look interested. Wuuup, hold on...you're talking about the bike. Sorry, my mistake.

   I'll say that the bike is going to sell for too much, seeing that it's already at that point. Just think of the bike one could build for far less money that would be at least equal to and most likely far better than the one being auctioned. Yeah, I know it wouldn't be the same as an original low mileage bike but really...who gives a fark?

   Now go shave your legs and make yourself presentable...scooter trash.

YUP  it is Vic...... and it is not one of his beautiful recreations, but an original. There is one other example like this, but it is not as low mileage, nor as good of shape as this one, but it is #175 and not this high a serial # like this one... 6537 of 7414
If I had to guess, I would say that his reserve is somewhere around 37k

Ah hell I hope it runs into the 40's, this one appears to be special. The lad asking 5k for that cherry CB500 got flamed too. I think a stocker in great shape should command a better price than they do.

Everyone is so anxious to buy some $300 worn out seized wreck to turn into "whatever" that it's nice to see there are possibly still some showroom condition beauties available. I commend the guys that spend a fortune restoring these bikes too. Otherwise what will we have left to recognise as "original"?

I certainly do. I first saw a Seafoam Turquoise version in a local dealer in April of 1969. That whole experience sight and scent have been forever etched in my memory. I can close my eyes and that scene comes back like yesterday.
The old saying certainly rings true here - "You can restore something a million times, but its only original once." I hope the very well off collector is a true fan of the marque and not just someone looking at it as an investment only. I'd have to put it in my living room to overcome the urge to use it...often.
