F2 carb tuning

For a engine of mine I'm considering "tuning" some ('78)F2 carbs. Engine is F2, still 750 with 41a cam. Just wondering if I can get something out of them. Thinking of removing the choke axle and plates for extra 'flow', use velocity stacks with no filtration since bike will spend most of its days on the track.  Anyone tried this before?

Well started on the carb's. Dismantled them to see in what state they where, but all looking fine and clean.
Gave one a glass bead, removed the chokeaxle and plates and made some stacks in the old style. It is starting to become a complete different carb.

Rob,

One fellow that had good success racing a 550/650 in the US claimed before he switched to early CR's, a set of bored 750 carbs worked very well.

I never saw the carbs, so can't give exact fiqures but even making that venturi round would surely help with flow.

I quess he used the K2-K6 carb's, they surely do well on the 500/550/650. Removing the choke parts do a lot for flow.
