Topic: Fuel valve re-assembly

I have cleaned the fuel valve assembly for my K1 and now I am putting it back together and am not sure where the spring goes. Does the spring go between the outside plate and the valve handle or between the valve handle and the gasket on the inside? I have looked at the fiche from Service Honda but I get lots of resistance when assembling based on the fiche diagram.

Nevermind. I did some more searching here for petcock assembly and found what I was looking for.
