How many projects is too many?
« on: July 20, 2010, 11:05:32 AM »
So, I still have this Honda scooter hanging inside the garage with a spare scooter for parts that I picked up for free. It's a real turd that needs a lot of love. I bought for $75 and have put maybe $200 into it including getting it titled, tires, tubes, misc bits and pieces.

But it's just sitting there. I think I'd like to work on it, but time is scarce, and I have other projects before it. It's the last on the list. It's taking up space.

At what point do you guys call it quits?

I won't store a bike outside. So 7 or 8, well 1 in the shed, 9 is the limit!

None outside and only one at a time... I can have as many as I want....but I only work on one at a time....

If something catches my fancy...  it might come home... but has to wait like all the others until the current project is done....

Better even that this is a new found love of this statement......  " I want you to own it so we can enjoy it".... ( in other words... you insure it, wash it, wax it, Do Oil changes and the rest of us will simply ogle it for your entertainment )

I try to do just one at a time, but a max of 3 in the garage, and 1 of which better be running...  ::) My parents piss and moan if I have any more than that in there, and promptly tell me to sell however many.  :-\
That's what I'd like to hear.

When you get up in the morning to count them and go to bed at night without finishing the count.

No.  Maybe it could be easy down the road if you just adopt adult children.  They won't soil themselves as much and can help with chores.  But expect them to want to put THEIR motorcycles in YOUR garage.  In the mean time, enjoy being 19.

If you have enough toys and a fake ID, the choice won't be up to you.
