1975 cb750....
« on: July 15, 2010, 08:59:25 AM »
i recently helped my dad put a different motor in his old 75' 750 that he bought brand new in 75'....the motor was stuck so we put a different 750 motor in it..every cover on the engine is chrome so it looks pretty sweet. now it could use a new paint job and new tires and is road ready...i guess he is planning on selling it, so is it worth putting the extra money in it for tires and paint? i mean it would look 100x's better but he doesnt wanna spend that money you know what i mean..? what im asking is what could he get for it right now, 75' cb750 with 30,000 miles...compared to it with probably $150 in new tires and idk im guessing kind of a pretty penny in paint....but what could it bring then..? thanks...

I think you need to research prices on E-Bay and Craigslist and compare sold bikes to yours.... asking that Q. here is kinda dicey IMO.
In other words, owners here have a ' skewed ' idea of how much our bikes are worth !! The market is the real decider......

It varies widely in Seattle, but most (when they show up) fall in the $1500-$2500 range.
some more.

yup... dat's what they go for....  you can find fixer up'rs...w/ titles for less.... but then you'll be like me...  2 fixers....neither running...both under construction.. ;D
