Anybody recognize these 823 pistons
« on: July 20, 2010, 09:49:29 PM »
I found these pistons in a parts bike (73 cb750) that I bought along with a Kenny Harmond D grind cam. They measure 64.5 mm. Unfortunately, two of the pistons were installed backwards, and show the marks of valves "kissing" the pistons. I have scanned the internet looking for the maker, but have not found anything. Markings on the bottom start with the letters "A" and end with "S" (five letters total). The letters in the middle are worn off. Action Fours? They have one piece oil rings, so I'm of the impression they were installed some time ago. My resident old bike mechanic(He's a good one!) does not recognize them either.

Thank you oh man of few words! I had found lots of info on Arias, but nothing about a 823 kit. Looking to use them in my next 750 build. Would 350 rings be the way to go? I know stock 350 rings are 810/811, but oversized are available.

As Frank says, the 2nd overbore size from a 350 twin will give you rings at 64.5mm.
Check the ring land is wide and deep enough to accomodate them.
