After a long summer of not riding I finally got things but back together and done for the year. All in all things turned out great. Before i started the project the bike had a lot of problems.
So far I have:
New bucket
New headlight
original front turn signals
fixed the horn
fixed the electict start
fixed all the indicator lights
fixed the headlight
fixed high/low beams
fixed turn signals
painted battery box/tool tray
cleaned up and painted frame where I could
new wiring harness
new ignition
new battery
new seat
new seat hinges
new seat lock/plunger
new mirrors
new kick start rubber
new tank trim
new side cover emblems
For my first project things turned out pretty good. Starts right up with the first push of the botton and the seat doesnt slide off if you turn to fast. I included a few pictures of the progress so far. I'm hoping next year to get the engine/carbs cleaned up/tuned up so it really purrs. Hoping to put on an orginal air box and rear tire next year as well as some kind of new exhaust.
Thanks to all the forum members for all the tips and tricks and for helpin out with some parts. Hopin it stays nice just a little bit longer...
