'76 CB550f - Stalls on side stand
« on: July 17, 2010, 04:55:31 PM »
Idles just fine when ridden upright or on center stand, RPMs dip dramatically and then it stalls when placed on the side stand. I am sure this must be a simple solution that someone has come across before. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same bike and although I do not have this problem, I do not like to let my bike just idle, the alternator does not put out enough power at idle to charge the battery.
What do you have your idle set at? Other guys have it around 1200, I like mine a little higher.

Good Luck.

I was thinking the same thing. Incorrect float heights of sticky floats.
