Topic: CB750 F 1977 model series wire harness

Are all the  F series models (F0, F1, F2 and F3) have same wire harness or they different? Where do you guys buy wire harness for F series? I was looking at yamiya and found that it is a specialty store for K series only. I am planning to get my friends CB 750 F2 (1977) and started compiling a list for parts before I start working on it.

75/76F harnesses are different than 77/78F.

Where do we get them? Generally we don't. I have seen 2 NOS 75/76 harnesses on EBay in 4+ years of daily watching. Bought one and let the other go. $150 & I considered myself lucky. You will probably be stuck overhauling it with new connectors and wiring if needed.

 I got a 77/78 on ebay a few years ago, and ended up re-doing the original.  I think I saw one on ebay a couple of days ago.  You can buy the bullet connectors from http://www.vintageconnections.com.

If I get a 78F wire harness I can use it on my 77.  75/76 Wire harnesses cannot be used on 77/78 F models.

The two harnesses could be interchanged, but it would take a little work.  There are subtle differences between the harnesses, of which the most obvious is the front brake light switch that is incorporated into the brake handle in the 77/78 models.  The ignition switch connector may also be different.
