Frame CB400 versus CB 350F
« on: July 21, 2010, 04:08:35 am »
A friend of mine is into vjmc racing, and he wonders if there are any major differences compering the frames on a CB 400 versus CB 350 F. Got something to do with racing classes. I think they are pretty much the same, but not entirely. The side covers are different, so the frame is most likely different at this point. Any comments are appreciated!

Off the top of my head, I believe the mounting points for passenger foot pegs, as well as exhaust mounts, are different.  I think on the 400 the passenger pegs are mounted on the swingarm (at least on the later model they were).  400 had 4-into-1 exhaust so there's only one mount on the left side.

The engines will bolt right up to either frame, if that's what he's asking.
