My name is a play on "handle," the term for a truck driver's name on a CB radio. Since I ride a CL and was looking at CBs, I thought it fitting to go with CBHandle. Clever, huh?

I used to be house- and band-mates with a couple of guys who worked at a used record store.  One day someone left a whole box of old skateboarding magazines at the store, so they brought them home.  In one of them, there was a letter to the editor from a fifteen-year-old kid who called himself Billy Awesome, going off about how much he loved Black Sabbath and hated Metallica.  For some reason (puff, puff, pass?? ;)) we found the letter hilarious, and I decided I would start a band inspired by the kid's name.  It was "Billy Awesome & the Billy Awesomes," and the idea was, anyone who played with Billy Awesome became Billy Awesome.  You could do whatever you wanted with the name, whatever kind of sound you felt like, invent any back story that suited you, &c.  We always hoped that one day we would hear about a band called Billy Awesome & the Billy Awesomes playing on the other side of the continent, globe, solar system, wherever, and know that if would be possible to trace their lineage back to us (we thought it would be especially funny if they turned out to be a world famous boy band or saccharine Canto-pop or something equally horrible, since we started out as kind of a noise/free-improv outfit).  As it turned out, Billy Awesome & the Billy Awesome became Billy Awesome & the Awesomes, and none of the Awesomes wanted to take on the responsibility of the moniker except for me.  I even considered changing my name legally, at one point, but never got as far as that.  Did have myself ordained by the Universal Life Church, though, so technically it's Rev. Billy Awesome.

I use the name every now and then when I do home-recording projects, and a few old friends still call me by it, but it's kind of faded out over the past couple of years.  Not exactly sure what spurred me to dust it off for this forum, but there you have it.

Well lets see my name is Quail and I ride red headed stepchild fat K8.  It has the best ride of all the cb750.  So they saved the best for last.  I am comfortable with that.

These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

What does "Ichiban 4" mean?

Ichiban in Japanese means number one (it's an "ondinal" term actually).  When in Japan..or largely Japanese ethnic areas..you see it used all the time.  Kinda like we see "primo", "numero uno" a lot here in the west.  Also used analogous to "prime" in English.

I like it because it's a folksy way to say it.  My wife..that side of family are also Japanese (another big reason for using).

The "4"..well..as member of SOHC 4..that pretty much speaks for itself I think.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

One day I was going to join a car forum but I didn't know what name to use.  I looked in the corner of my room and I saw my snowboard.  It is an Arbor and its the Mystic model.  Therefore I became Arbormystic.  I use the name on every forum I am on.

All my motorcycles have names:

66 Honda Superhawk: Loud Louie-my dad's nickname at work.  It was given to me after he passed away.  :(

71 BSA Lightning: Dawg-In proper Brit iron fashion, it marks it's territory wherever I park it.  :-[

72 CB750: It was in a back yard chained to a clothes pole.  The PO had painted it a yield sign yellow.  ;D

I was a mainframe programmer in the late 80's early 90's and when our company started getting rid of green screens (3270 IBM terminals), the pc guys had to build userids and passwords for the new PC network.  The first password they assigned me was "harley" since they knew I rode motorcycles.  Never mind that I was riding a KZ1000, to them it was a motorcycle so it must be a harley.  To keep things simple, I started using that for my password all over the place.  And to keep things simple, I used variations of my name -first name starts with a K, and last name is Pierce - hence kpier.  Lots of sites need longer id, so I added 883 for Harley 883 engine, even though I have never owned one and have only ridden an 883 sportster once (around the time AMF ended (1984?) and there was a promotion where you could test ride any Harley.  The test ride was enough to let me know that it wasn't for me).

So, kpier883 it is.

FWIW, my brother rode a 1200 on the test ride - actually, we swapped half way through.  It felt good to get back on my KZ1000 and him on an 82 Honda 750 Magna.  A motorcycle with power is a real good thing.  I remember the fellows outside the Harley shop saying things like "Hey what is that sound?  Oh its a "motorcycle".  As we rode away.  And so that was my first experience with "real" motorcycles and the "real motorcyclists" that ride them.

I can really ramble sometimes...

Thread Ressurection!!!

For those of you familiar with the music of the Space Ghost CD's, there was a song about a dance called Hoodellyhoo. There was also a comedian (can't remmber who) who refered to his "member" as his hoodellyhoo. I don't know why, but I used this name on a few other forums before I came here, so I just kept the trend going.

I was the first dude in sixth grade with a beard, chest hair, and back hair. They called me Captain Caveman, but over the years of online crap handles it got cut down to Caaveman82 because a lot of variations were taken so I just add an "A" and slap on my birth year to the end and "WHAMMMY".
