CB550f Carb overflowing with gas

So the runoff is running over. Does that mean the float or float needle is dirty?

Yes it is hanging open for some reason. try tapping lightly on the side of the carb to free it. or open it up and look for anything in the bowl, or valve that may be causing the problem.

Where is it leaking?  The stand pipes in the carb bowls can crack.

It's coming out of the overflow so I think the float may be stuck or whatever the pin is that holds the float.

when the bowl is off, fill it with water(but stay under the stand pipe) and check for a leak out the overflow.
if it does, the pipe is cracked and in need of repair.

if no leak, and you are positive your floats are set correctly, then the fuel valve is not closing when the float rises against it..  its gummed up with something, or the spring in it is fubar.

Thanks all.

This happened after I installed new throttle cables, but the bowl looks like it's had a small leak for a little while.
I probably just hadn't noticed and somehow it got worse.
