Insurance in Alberta for 30+ year old bikes?
« on: July 22, 2010, 09:16:50 AM »
Hi there,

Called my home/auto insurer (Monnex) today to get a quote for my bike, since I'm finally going to be able to put it on the road.  They told me they do not offer insurance on bikes 30 years or older.

Just wondering what company(ies) all the Albertans (I'm in Calgary, to be specific) are being insured through, and how much is it costing you?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!

Bummer.
Monnex (TD) is my insurer also (car/home) and they are great.
I got my bike (78 K8 740) in 2008 and they insured it at a reasonable rate and I am grandfathered so they will insure it from now on.

I have my bike insured through RBC. It's $18 dollars a month.
