Aloha from Hawaii
« on: July 22, 2010, 11:59:23 AM »
Just bought my '77 CB550F on Monday. Woohoo! ;D My bike looks and runs great, but needs a little tinkering. I'm basically starting from scratch so I'm sooo glad I found this site. I'm sure I'll have plenty more posts to come. Nice to be here and I'll be seeing everyone on the boards!

Welcome.  You're going to have to ride out to all the pretty spots of the island and take some pictures to show us!  Isn't your island the one where Lost is filmed?  And Jurassic Park?  Beautiful!

Yeah it is beautiful here. Lost was filmed on north shore and I think some parts of Jurassic park. I've only lived here two months but my first goal was get a classic honda and start riding. It's really like nowhere else. If anyone else lives on Oahu hit me up! I'm a complete rookie, but am hooked!

Jeez, what did you do, win the lotto?  Wish I could've woken up one morning and said, "You know what?  I'm gonna move to Oahu and restore a classic Honda."

Although I think I hate you right now, welcome to the site.   ;D

Welcome, looking forward to the pics of your bike and, as already posted, some nice background scenery also. I haven't been to Oahu in 35 years and back then I couldn't get over the fact you could go from 'desert' to more rain than imaginable in a relatively short drive.  :o
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I grew up in Ewa Beach on Oahu. Honesty I do not miss it much. I miss the awesome saltwater fishing right off the back yard and the really fresh pineapple but not much else.

Welcome to the site.

Welcome, and nice bike! If you haven't already got the hint, we want pics!

I've been to Oahu and it is an incredible place! I rented a Honda 360 and rode around the island...twice! Snorkeling in Hanama Bay and diving off the cliffs at Waimei Falls - awesome!! [Sp?]

Good Luck.
