I'm so happy to read a "barn find" thread that invovles more than changing the battery and washing it.

The last few I've read on various sites last about four posts since it only takes a weekend to restore it to show room quality.

Is that an ultra-chrome paint job? I remember it first coming out in Matchbox cars late 70's early 80's , have only seen one guy advertise the ability to do this on the east coast somewhere in the middle states at a cycle junkyard . That is slick! There is no repairing a damaged paint job like that is there? Meaning if it gets scratched ,you got to start from scratch right? Just beautiful.

my mate did this paint job he is the onner of 8 ball custom paint he said he would do a one off paint job but he wont say what the colour is just that he can do it again if it get scrached
