Girlfriends first bike Suzuki A 100, THE BEAST!!!
« on: August 23, 2011, 03:18:16 AM »
My girlfriend just bought her first motorbike, a little 81 suzuki a100, it has a nasty bearing noise coming from the engine I'm almost certain it will be one of the main bearings, I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help with the location of a manual I can download, I had a good search on google came across a couple of pages but not a great deal of info.  Even a parts breakdown of the engine would be handy, Thanks in advance for any help. (there will be some pics to come)

You can tell it is a main bearing? Is the rod knocking?
Is there metal filings in the oil?

How many miles are on the bike?

I usually take engines apart to find out if the main bearings are good.

It is a 2 stroke, and has a rumbly bearing sound in the engine, like a bad ball bearing which in my experience with 2 strokes most use ball bearings for the mains hence my statement, I was just wondering if anyone could point me towards a parts breakdown before I tear into the engine, either way by this weekend I'll find out what is inside.
