Do not do a thing till your sure the gas is going out somewhere. If its comming out carbs ,find which one . close gas off, flip bowl off & make sure floats are not full of gas. This is the most common on older bikes. I just had to order a float for my 71 750 k1. Pricy little things at 40 bucks. don't pay to try to fix if you have 1 you will get more for sure. It's a pretty easy fix.  azporkey

If a float was 'sunk', gas would not shut-off when the bowl was full, fuel would run out the overflow tube or appear in the airbox ( if the o/f tube was blocked ).... not the case here.... gas appears only @ the header pipe area and only when the bike is running........according to the OP.
If your sure it's a carb problem; it's ignition,

Is anybody close by this guy to drop in and solve the problem in a few minutes?  In my experience, fuel leaks are not a huge mystery, even with the anti stall dashpot and extra vacuum lines on the 750A.

Don't forget radiator shops as an option. I recall seeing this post a while back about a shop in Brooklyn, NY... looks like it's a bit over an hour from Hamilton, NJ. :

Now there's a thought! I fixed an old Triumph tank years ago by silver soldering a pin hole!

I believe all Hondamatics had the later composite floats, they can't fill with gas.  They can get bent, hang up, bind, and break but not fill with gas.
