How do I get a 75 cb550 petcock to work on a cb750 tank

My original tank is beyond repair. I just bought a cb750 tank to replace it. Have a brand new petcock for the CB550. How can I get the 550 petcock to work on the 750 tank? Is there a such thing as adapters for this? If so, what measurements do I need to look for?

An E-bay used one sounds like a lot less hassle and fit/work better. Early 750's were held on with two screws and 75-76 had a bung fitting.Sell or save the 550 one.

Spend the $40 and get a new one for the 750.
