spark plugs

My friend was asking if there is a special wrench or socket needed to pull the spark plugs for a '70 cb 750. I didn't know the answer since i've never had a problem just using the tool that came with the bike. He says he can get the 1 and 4 plugs but not the 2 or 3. Does he need to get the tool i have or a special size socket?

The thin walled socket that comes with the stock tool set is ideal.  Most motorcycle shops will carry something similar.  The hex size is 18mm, I believe, but sometimes the wrench is sold by the thread size, which is 12mm.

Oh god, I just spent an hour today fooling around with an auto-type 18mm socket.  Finally, I got the bright idea to turn it down a bit on my bench grinder.  Had to go back a few times to take off more material, but it worked finally.   Longest tune-up ever...

Local O'Rielly auto parts store carries a thin wall 18 MM socket that werks great.
