I hope your thief parks it first then gets hit by a bus while crossing the street!!!

That quote reminds me of someone who isn't a thief who was hit by a bus while crossing the street on the way back to his own bike.   I honestly don't think I'd wish that on anyone.

He has been Conspicuous by His absence.....hope all is ok..

wow this is really upsetting.
I'm sorry for your loss my friend.
I hope you find whoever did this.

Hint: look close to home. It has to be someone who knew it was there in the first place. Have many sketchy neighbors in your 'hood?

I feel for you man. Things like this make me glad my CB750 is up on a stand with no wheels. While I can't ride it, I doubt anybody could steal it... or would want to.

On a positive note, at least it wasn't your only bike. You can still ride.

I'm sorry to hear about this too, best of luck finding it in one piece somewhere. Maybe even check out your local track day organizations or vintage racing organizations?   Maybe someone will keep it the way you built it.

On a side note, a friend recently told me that if I ever sell a bike that I should ride it to a neutral parking lot somewhere, and not show it at my house (And never give out your full name or address unless you have the cash in hand).  Just for added security, one never knows.

Not to jack the thread, but on another side note be careful when purchasing cars, bikes etc.  Years ago i bought a mint 94 VW Corrado, the car i had always wanted but never could afford at the time.  As timing would have one came up in the paper for the right price.  I bought it and it was stolen and stripped three weeks later by the same motherfu@^$*ers who sold it to me!   Make sure you don't fill any transfer papers in their presence, and watch you don't get followed..

At least you can still ride.

How depressing. Sorry about your troubles, man. That's a sweet lookin' ride, too. All that work. Hope they find the SOB and you get your bike back soon in good condition. Trouble is, doesn't sound like a joy rider, more like someone with experience.

Talked to the insurance adjuster today, she want receipts, pictures, my bank records, authorization for credit report, past claims, and 100 other things, too. Kinda makes me feel like they're investigating me!
If I was going to commit insurance fraud, and risk 10 years in jail, a felony on my record, and up to a 50,000 dollar fine, it would not be on a 2000 dollar bike! That's for sure!

I asked what my chances are of getting it back, she told me to get the paperwork back to her as soon as possible so she can finish the claim within 30 days, doesn't expect to see it again.

Oh well, I guess. What to do

I like my women a little big. Natural. Now, they shave this and wax that. It's not right. I love natural women. Big women. This trend in women has to go. Bulomia, anorexia. That's just wrong. know how you feel there buddy.  it wasnt the bike...just the entire 1976 CB750F motor...the whole thing...right off the workbench with all the parts old and new.....really pissed me off.  found out about 3 weeks later the motor cases wound up at the scrappers for raw aluminum, the cylinders beat out of the jugs
