I installed a set of Vetter bags on my 750. The bags were off of a goldwing. From looking at pictures it seems that the trunk is sitting much higher on it than it should be. Does this look funny to you guys? I thought about lowering them down but I would have to cut and weld to do it. From other pictures of Vetter trunk and side bags it looks like there would be a 2" gap not a 4.5" like I have.

This is the image I am comparing it to from craigvetter.com

The difference looks to be the armchair type seats on the pictured Goldwing.
As long as the bags are lower than the rider they shouldn't attract too much wind resistance.
Best of luck swinging your leg over the seat though, I have hard enough job just with side hard bags. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Yeah... you'll have to straighten your leg and slide it directly perpendicular to the seat. It will be a little awkward perhaps

Cheers

If it were mine I would lower it down until the bottom of the cushion on the trunk was sitting right on top of the seat just like in the picture of the wing. Thats how my wing is.
If you have a lower luggage rack that is made for the 750 you could mount the trunk on that.

As far as getting on the bike instead of swinging my leg over the top I bend my leg at the knee and slide my foot over the passenger seat. It was a little awkward at first but now it's automatic.

Sorry about the small picture but here was a set-up that was on a bike I bought last year. Sat just above the tail light. Sold all the Vetter stuff off.How it looks now  :)
