Shorty Shocks and Riding 2 up?
« on: November 09, 2010, 04:08:39 PM »
Can shorty shocks(11"), the kind typically found on ebay, handle two riders ok?  My bike is a CB550f, I'm 155 lbs, and the girl will be hopefully 8) less that 125 lbs. What say you, SOHC/4?

I don't know about two up but for one it's a hard ride vs regular shocks.  :-\

Aim for the girl to be 110 lbs  ;D she will lie about her weight anyway. :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I used to dink a colleague to work 42km (26 miles) each way on mine with 11" shocks on & both of us added up to about what you're talking about with no issues. I had the adjusters up as hard as they'd go though.
It didn't feel like it bottomed out but the shocks themselves were shot. Maybe I was riding on the bump stops & just didn't know it.  :D :D :D
