Consider a hazardous waste drop-off.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I mix with some water and leave it in an open container (a few quarts at a time) away from the buildings and it evaporates pretty quickly.

Our local hazardous waste drop-off will not accept gasoline.

Haz-waste recycling:  that's about the only way.

Burn small bits of it on your burning pile?  (Environmentally bad and extremely dangerous).

Burning small bits of it in the various engines?  (Could really cause havoc in those old motors).  Sometimes I'll mix a small bit of old into a large bit of new and burn it in my lawnmower.  That Briggs motor seems to be happy with just about anything.  And cutting my acre of grass about every 5 ~ 7 days in the summer, I go thru a LOT of gasoline.

Mix small bits of it in with drain oil from your cars/trucks and recycle it that way?  Most every auto parts store accepts used motor oil for recycling.  A cup of old gasoline in 4 or 5 quarts of used motor oil?

1973 Ford F250.  ;)

I'd mix all 5 gal with a full (25gal) tank of fresh gas. The truck wouldn't even bat an eye.

I lucked out there.  A mechanic down the street from me will take just about anything besides antifreeze free of charge.  They burn it in their furnace over the winter.  You could ask around.

Wow!..... Haz. Waste takes up to 15 gallons a month free from residents here in Gnashville. They take oil, gas, paint, brake fluid etc.... it's on the other side of the city from me , but well worth the trip to keep my garage safe. With this almost 100 deg. weather there is a goodly smell of gas out there these days !

haz waste disposal around me takes old gas, but you have to have a freggin permit!!   >:( >:(  but i 2nd the idea of diluting it less than 20% with new good gas, but if you have pre-mix, i wouldn't put it w/ that...  try just letting it evaporate on a hot day, should go away quickly?

other than that, i've heard of some chemicals you can add to hazardous waste, like old paint which turns the paint into a biodegradable solid suitable for landfills.  i'm pretty sure they sell some chemicals you can mix with your gas to make it mroe inert or help solidify it for disposal

Mix it with new gasoline ratio 1/10 and run it.
