Rookie Exhaust Question
« on: August 03, 2010, 11:02:13 AM »
I'm swapping from my stock, rusty 4-4 exhaust on my 750K to a 750F SS header.  I know the mount is different between the two, so I have got some used shims and flanges on the way.  I'm crossing my fingers they will clean up alright.  I have done some looking at Honda's parts diagrams, and in none of them can I clearly identify the studs that came on the 750F bikes.  I assume that the screws that mount my current exhaust are going to be too short for the F style flange.  Can anyone point me towards the stud and nut part numbers or correct me if my noob-ness is steering me in the wrong direction.  Also, anyone have any good suggestions for a cheap, but decent sounding muffler to match up to CB750F factory header?

Thanks in advance.

Year of bike would help.

Sorry about that.  My bike is a '76K and the header is from a '75F.

After spending some time with Google, it looks like I may be looking for 8mm x 1-1.25" studs at my local fastener shop.  Does that sound right?

They are 8mm x 1.25 and slighty more than 1 7/8" long.
