I recently rebuilt my 1977cb750f and while doing so I installed a Barnett clutch and Barnett HD springs. The problem I am having is when riding the clutch seems to slip very bad. Clutch lever has normal action and when pulled in the bike shifts fine, but when in gear and riding the clutch consistantly slips bad. I socked the friction plates in oil prior to install. I am using the Barnett clutch plates and steel rings. Since the Barnett steel rings are not dimpled like the stock Honda steel rings I was thinking this could be the problem. I tore the clutch apart and re installed everything using the stock steel (dimpled rings) and made sure I put the clutch pack back together correctly. When installing the clutch lifter plate I broke it so I have not been able to retest for slippage.
Does anyone have any ideas.
Thanks
