cb550 Sprocket Side Plate
« on: March 28, 2005, 10:35:13 AM »
Hello, Has anyone ever seen a chromed sprocket side plate/cover for a CB550? A friend is looking to purchase one (if there is such a thing). He is building a CB550 chopper on an old AMEN frame. Everything returned from the painters last night. And he says it needs something else.....LOL
If not chromed, one that is highly polished. Thanks, Dr. Mark

You could drill out the rivits and have it chromed.  Or simply drill the rivits and pitch it in the trash.

Never seen a chromed cover like that.
We had finned/chromed covers for the alternator.
Maybe just use lots of elbow grease and keep polishing.

I Dbl checked his ride last night. He does have a chromed sprocket side plate....but its pitted. I guess he'll just have to have it re-chromed for effect. Thanks, Dr. Mark
