Hey all, here is the 1st cone from the mold, came out really well. a little touch up here and there then ill mate it up with the base.

Do you need a base? most of the cafe seats sold just make you figure out how to mount it yourself. I would consider one as is if the price was right. Nice job!

Thanks, ill finish this one then deside on a price. Im thinking of doing a limited run of maybe 10 or so.

The answer is yes... but i want to make sure people get a really nice part so im going to recast my one and make a stronger mold. Give me a little time as i want this to be right so im going to expolre a couple of mold options. Would you want the light included or would you seek out your own?

well i do like the light cowl, especially if something can be frenched in well. on the other hand, the back slope makes for quite a nice mounting point for a light as well. would it be a mold of just one or the other?

i may just flush it out so people can create there own light options. The light this design is for is a little pricey (to me) and would be limiting to a buyer. so let me marinate on this for a minute. We are also tinkering with creating a plug so i could do both with and without the light. stay tuned

i agree with you on the light options. i think that with the flatter backside like you have it now it allows a more diverse set of options. BUT your light cowl is pretty dang trick in itself, so if there were a way to have a choice of either one after the point of sale, then the customer could choose what they wanted to run, and change it later if they wanted! if you need someone to test fit, i'm down for a beta test for you

i can't promise any riding with it, but i'll throw it on my frame for sure!

At times I feel talented for bringing my bike back to life from a fate near death, and then I come on these forums, and see this kind of work and remember how much of a noob I really am.
