Differences between a '76 750K and pre-'76 750K's
« on: June 21, 2008, 08:03:20 AM »
Been looking at parts to get for my '76 750K and I have noticed that several parts places seem to have more parts on hand for the '75 and older 750K's but seperate out or skip altogether the '76.

My bike is stock and I'm looking at getting carb rebuild kits, wiring harness, and some other items to have on hand for when I have trouble (or decide to jump in and fix 'em).  Right now, I'm not having any major issues, but you never know right?

Anyway, can someone tell me the major differences (if any) between the '76 750K and the same model of prior years?  If there are none, then I'll probably go ahead and purchase the available items.

Thanks,
Shannon

You are pretty much good to go on the engine componets for the 71 to 76 K's. Carbs had different model numbers and different size jets through the years. There are a few different wiring harness variations through the years. 75-76 gas tank have single feed petcocks on the other side as well as larger turn signals.Big changes to frame and body parts started in 77. Sure others will chime in with more differences.
