'74 CB 750 - First Bike Build
« on: August 08, 2010, 03:14:51 PM »
Hey All,

Some of you may remember my first post from here: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=74530.msg829976#msg829976

Anyway, started out wanting to buy one running bike for my wife for our anniversary, and now wound up with 3 and a half in the garage...Seeing as I didn't want a bike in the first place, these old CBs have found a special place in my heart! The first bike I've decided tear into is the '74 750...its the roughest of the 3 bikes (the 550 needs nothing), however, I hope to be doing both this bike, and the 400 at roughly the same time so I can bring everything to the powdercoater at once..

Since I love to take pictures, I'll document as much as I possibly can in this thread...although it may not move overly quickly! I'll probably be asking for a lot of advice while doing this, so I'm encouraging as much feedback as you can give!

Here is what I'm starting with...my '74 CB 750...its pretty rough, missing a few pieces...but not a bad starting point in my eyes...

Hope to keep you all somewhat entertained along the way!
