In love with a Nighthawk 700S.
« on: July 27, 2010, 12:36:37 PM »
I went over to my friends house last night to help him with his CB500. His mom has a 84 Nighthawk that i have had been jealous of ever since she got it. Last night she let me take it for a ride.

Man, I'm absolutely in love with that bike! Sounds like a modern CBR, Smooth as a goldwing, and feels so flickable compared to my 82 nighthawk. I want one so bad now. To top it off i think it is one of the best looking bikes of the 80's. Sadly no matter how much i plead with her it's not for sale.

I think i could definitely see myself riding one of those every day.

I want one bad enough as it is without having ridden one. Pretty sure if someone let me take one for a ride I would end up robbing a bank or something to get one for myself :D

Haha.. No, His mother is not a milf by any stretch of my imagination.

Grr... Why does there have to be one on my local craigslist right now?

Why do i have to be getting a paycheck this week?

I guess the first step is admitting you have a problem. So.. who wants an 82 nighthawk?

best bike I ever had.toured two up full luggage and still did 125mph.No fishing story.Loved it,16 valves, hydrualic adjusters, shaft, fast as hell.Quick even.If they would have made a new version I would buy it in a heartbeat.Wheelie monster.
its better to regret something you have done, than something you havent.Except playing with explosives.

I had an '84 Nighthawk 650 as a second bike, very similar engine, not as powerful as the 700S, but more torque, and extremely smooooooth! Should have never sold it.
I always wondered if one could use the 650 (long stroke)crank in the 700(big bore , short stroke), should work out to something line 840cc.
If Honda would have used the same engine architecture and built a 1000cc to 1200 cc version, I would own one now!
