BTW: that Norton at 15,250 British Pound Sterling works out to $24645.53 US Dollars!

It is hand-built in England! It comes with Öhlins forks and shocks, Brembo brakes, Carbon Wheels, and: it's a Norton.  :P

Price in the U.S. is: $20,300.

I don't think the triumphs have the performance of the CB1100.

The U.S. specs CB1100 has a top speed of 110mph. That isn't too hard to top and by far slower than the V-max of a 1969 CB 750. It's the part I don't understand.

I wouldn't take too much notice of what the US speedo's read, the CBX1000 had an 80mph max speedo and went way faster than that, the CB1100 has nearly 90 HP, it'll do 120 MPH easily... Don't believe everything you read, all smoke and mirrors for the fun police....

Actually it's not. The CB1100 is limited to 112mph. One of the bike mag's tried to bypass it and wasn't able to. But that article came out several months ago (I searched for it but couldn't find it) and by now there are a couple of aftermarket solutions that will work, but might also void your warranty at the same time.

Every test and ride report i've read claims top speed at 124-125 MPH, the ones sold here that have been tested have a top speed of around 125 MPH and a quarter mile time of  around 11.79 sec. @ 110.87 mph, British magazine MCN tested it at 125 MPH as well {professional racers do their testing}, i could hardly see it stopping dead at 112 with a sub 12 second quarter mile, makes no sense.., and if it did i would take it back and get it fixed or get a new one.... Why not ask member mick7504, he's had his for over a year now... ;)

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

cool video, minus the fact that it looks as if it were recorded on vhs with a recorder from 1994

Honda CB 1100 Review

minus the fact that he says the 750 came out in 67 and he crashes it at the end, its a mediocre review  ;)

The problem with Honda only releasing the CB1100 on the U.S. instead of the CB1300 is that either one of
my '80 or '81 Suzuki GS1100E's are better at everything that the new CB1100 does. And they are more than
thirty years old!
Just the sad facts.

Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

I suspect that part of the problem are the changes in our emissions and noise regulations over the past 30 years. Honda's CB1100 from 30 years ago produced much more power than the new bike, but of course, it did not have to conform to 2014 regulations.

I wish that our EPA was required to do a cost/benefit analysis before imposing new rules. IMO, the relatively few (compared to cars, trucks, and even lawnmowers) motorcycles ridden in the U.S. cannot make a meaningful contribution to air quality numbers.

You can't expect EPA to use logic.

I wanted a 1100 as soon as I saw the photos, I waited, 2008, 2009, 2010, into 2011 when I started reading Australian reviews here... I bought this for $300, spent 4 months and $2000 to repair & restore.  Its a great ride, my favorite ride in fact.  :D

With the money left over I bought my wife a nice ring , I am going to make a  Cafe from my '67 CB450K0 and take a vacation in Playa del Carmen.   Life is good.

I agree. One sweet ride indeed.  8)
Well worth the effort to save it.
