It seems many people tend to focus on and magnify differences between people, rather than appreciate the things they may have in common.  For example, sneering at a style (or brand) of motorcycle someone is riding instead of recognizing they share the same enthusiasm for motorcycling and it's all good.  Not necessarily talking about the OP here.

Gotta agree with that, it was actually kind of interesting reading abpout the altercation between the Cop and Bikers in Washington recently, seems the 1 per centers are not as much of a nuisance to the public as sport bike riders these days. It is unfortunate that lots of cagers will now be thinking that anytime they get passed by a motorcycle, doesn't matter what kind since cagers can't tell any of them apart, they will automatically assume the bike "must be going over 100mph" and "why does anyone need a bike with that much power"? So now that we're getting into different "types"..it has always irked me that folks like OCC call their bikes "choppers" when they're not actually chopping anything. I'm old school too, growing up in the Sf area during the 60s and saw lots of "real" choppers, i.e. ex-police/highway patrol/military bikes (and new stockers) that were altered to the riders tastes, most often involving cutting and re-welding the head to add rake. What OCC does is build custom bikes from scratch. NOT a chopper, but I guess it just sounds "cooler" to say, "yeah man, like, I make choppers, man"... So can someone explain to me the difference between a cafe bike and a "street fighter"? I've been into cafe's since the 70s, so I understand that, but to me a "streetfighter" just looks like a sportbike without the plastics? So in a different thread there was a "cafe'd" Virago, someone said it looked more like a streetfighter than a cafe?  and FWIW, when I wave at scooter riders they just seemed totally baffled as to why someone would wave at them...

i dislike harleys around here because there's an attitude like if you dont ride a harley what u ride is a childs bike... and it irritates me.... i think harleys are over priced..im not gonna insult them but thier just not my bag of tea.. they some how thru manipulating the american market of supply and demand have really jacked up thier prices.... im dissapointed that my CB that could  run circles around the harley is worth so much less... if I could own any harley it would have to be a chopped knuckle head... oil leaks and all.. its the only engine that has any prestige IMO

Okay.   ;D

To answer the other questions about what it is... like a few already mentioned, it's a Honda Ruckus.

Some nice things about owning a Ruckus (or scooter) is;
that I only need to register it once every three years,
I don't need insurance,
I'm not required to wear a helmet, even though Michigan is a helmet state,
and it'll get close to 100 mpg.

My girlfriend and I both got one at the same time.  We ride together when we can.  When I'm alone on my Ruckus, other bikers become stuck up and rarely wave.  But when I'm with my girlfriend, they kind of seem jealous.   ;D
