CB550 intake / air filter option.
« on: June 26, 2015, 08:06:16 AM »
to avoid the challenges of individual pods, I was looking at eliminating the air box / filter proper and attaching a universal filter to item 19 in the attached diagram. This would provide me the flexibility to do some of the customizations I'd like to try. I'm sure this has been done before but have not seen any pictures or write ups on it.

If anyone has a link I'd appreciate it.

You'd be looking for something like this if I'm understanding what you're saying.

1980 CB650C - Sold

It's a little motor and likes having the tits revved off it.

yes, something like that, cept I'd go with a Uni I think. I just want to un-clutter the under seat area. Would like to see a bike pic with such a solution in place.

Thanks for that pic.

I have one of the K&N filters like that I'll be using on my STF2 bike.....if I ever get it finished.
