I will see what it looks when I pick it up, it may become a project or three projects. You will be the first to know if I don't want the bike.

Got some work done on new seat this weekend. It's going slow on the bike to much work and school. Base of seat is 3/4 " plywood and .045 aluminum sheets to make top and sides. I used a utility knife to score the sheets, and then bent the sheet back and forth to break them. I used a die grinder to smooth the edges out. I plan to use aluminum welding rods from harbor freight to weld them together. I am going to coat everything with a thin coat of bondo or some other body filer.

Wish I would have had a band saw it would have made it much easier to cut the sheets. I scored the sheet with a utility knife and bend back and forth until the sheets broke. I used alum. pop rivets to hold sheet together. I using evercoat short grain fiberglass to cover the alum. sheet and wood seat here are some pictures.

Like the bike, love the color  but not sure on the seat rear cowl assembly.  A little angular for my taste.  But hey it's not my bike.  Will still be following the progress

I think I am going to go a different way with my seat. Going to fiberglass the seat pan up and mold up the shape in the rear section. Tell me if you have any suggestions or comments.

Hey man been having similar decision problems.  Did a seat up using another pan and old foam, not sure about it(there's a pic in my thread), I like the Corbin Gunfighter seat but moneys always an issue.  I'll be following close to see if I can glean some ideas an inspiration for a satisfactory seat.  Looks like you decided to loose the fender and hideaway, definitely changes the look of the bike...shortens it up.  I think it would look good with the racining bump in the rear now.  Like I said though I go back and forth.

Cleaned up a seat pan from 1981 CB750F to day, and put on the fist coat of fiberglass on seat pan. Made up a bracket to hold new/used Kawasaki tail light.

Neoprene on the seat pan and shape up. Happy with the looks of it. Going to use some embossed leather alligator print on the seat what do you think?

I made a soda blaster last weekend with the information I found here on the forum. I found some blasting material at Menard's called black blast. It worked very well in the clear tote for removing heavy paint on brake calipers that I am now polishing.

Hey - where did you find that good info about making a soda blaster on the forum here? I have had a quick search but can't pick it up.
