I could mention that even at my age, one or two available females wanted company.........or I could tell you how stinking drunk my brother-in-law was for a few days.........he doesn't drink at home. Oh yes, Bill took the 1st-place trophy at the MOTORCYCLE CLASSICS bike show in Tooele! When the AHRMA races (everyone has to see the Le Manz start to the CB160 event) were finished on Sunday at Miller Motorsports Park the track officials allow Bill and me to ride our 750s around the course. Bill had his Blonde on the pillion with a video camera. I stayed at a cool 35 mph for one lap and just enjoyed seeing the lines (rubber) on the track from the go-fast guys and gals.
And then there was the adventure at the 4-Corners, sand-storm.....hail..........snow...........rain....high winds..........and I didn't have my riding jacket. We did a few miles on Route 66 and we stopped at a few parks.......Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the North Rim of Grand Canyon. We rode Hwy 12 in southern Utah and we did a little dirt riding on the way to and from Natural Bridges. We were not the only vintage riders on the roadways. As we were leaving Bryce Canyon a rider entered on what looked like a new first-year Suzuki Water Buffalo. Nearly everywhere we stopped someone would start up a conversation about the bikes. I am working on writing up the adventure for a possible magazine article. Still waiting for pics and video from Bill and his Blonde.
Its a pain to reduce the pic-bits to post but will try another time.
