swing arm swap
« on: August 16, 2010, 06:28:49 AM »
just aquired for free a 1981 cb900f fuel tank and swing arm.  they are going to go on my 1976 CB750F.    just a minor wee bit of rubbber mallet to front of seat and it fits beautifully.  the swing arm is almost there....have to tape off and remove roughly 1/2 inch off right side of pivot.  and have a new inner sleeve made for my original bolt...I'm not gonna try and drill the frame out to 41/64......easier to just have sleeve made.  new set of bearings are ordered...roughly 20 bucks from Z1.
Now to find a good set of Harley shocks for the rear...or some of those neato remote reservoir shocks.
