Front Brake Master Cylinders Identification
« on: February 24, 2006, 07:22:24 PM »

  Help,

I've got several front master cylinders for Hondas and when I looked up the part numbers on:
  74' CB450, 73' CB500 and 78' CB550s I found different p/ns for each one. What would the differences
be, are there any identifying marks or features? I didn't check the 76' CB400F (which I also have one
of). I just took for granted that they, the master cylinders and calipers were pretty much the same.
I should have known better. Can any one clue me in? I'll be anxiously waiting. I am going to need
kits for most of these I'm sure. Any help would be appreciated. Later on, Bill ???

There are no real differences and the repair kit is the same one for all of them
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
