How much for a NOS cb550f gas tank? (Added some pics)

Lucked into a tank the other day.  It is orange speckle in color.  Doesnt have the lock, cap, petcock, or emblems.  Has been sitting on a dealer shelf believe it or not.  It does have one scratch probably from storage.  No rust or dents at all.  Accept for the scratch, the paint is as good as the day it was painted.  No smell of gas in the tank.  Sticker on gas door has no signs of wear at all.

My guess is that it was a show room tank that got a scratch and has been sitting in storage ever since.

I have a cb550f bike with a decent tank but am planning on turning it into a cafe racer.  Wouldnt dare touch the new one.

How much do you think it is worth?

you could always try ebay with a $5k reserve... its only worth what someone will pay! where is the scratch?

The only scratch is on the left side under where the emblem would be.  No metal damage...the scratch isnt deeper than the paint.

It even came in a old Honda box with the oldschool wing logo and a picture of a tank on the side.  The box has a part number on it but I can't find out if the part number matches the tank.  It might...or might not be the original box.  Anyone know how to find what part a part number goes to?

I am going to look at a blue 76 550F Friday Eve.,owned by the same guy since 78 with 17,000 miles on it.Does anybody really want these bikes that much though??? I personelly prefer the 750's. Just bought a cb450 today with 13,000 miles probably take it to my grave  ::)

I have a mint cb550f muffler that I may sell also.  Got them both from a Honda dealership.

Should I sell them together for one price or individually?
