Topic: CB350F Carb deterioration

Anyone got a good idea on how to save these 2 Carbs? Short of getting new ones. They had water sitting in them for a long time and the aluminum corrosion is petty bad, I think that is the main jet tube. I thought about putting the main jet into a lathe and turning some materal off the back so the jet would fit up in further so the O-ring would fit up into some good aluminum. Any thoughts,  ideas?

There's a guy on her that I think can repair the damaged carbs.  I can't remember his name though.  Other option is to eBay hunting for good replacement carb and swap it out on the rack

That #3 carb looks awful.  Wouldn’t be surprised if there were more corrosion throughout.

Might just wanna buy some new bodies and rebuild from there.

greencb, +1.  jim french fixed one of mine right up.  fair price and fast.  make sure you send them down with the jets screwed in or a bolt with the same thread.

 Personally I would be looking for at least that one or maybe two carb bodies as that deterioration looks pretty severe. Too bad its not a cb750 where those parts are much easier to get I'm sure.  That Jim fella has a very good reputation though,maybe he can save them.

Thanks for the help guys! Jim said they look too far gone to lazer weld to.  Most carbs I do find are $300 plus range. Anyone on here have any carbs for sale?

CB350F carbs might go for round $300 rebuilt, but you can find donor sets for likely less than half of that, and you might be able to find someone here who's broken up a set to sell you only what you need.

 Looks like the same carb body on that 118.00 dollar set has the same problem as yours as it looks to be starting to disintegrate also.
