ok, i was just talking to a guy that repairs a lot of bikes, and he said it could be possible that my lack of compression in my cb 750 can be from the fact that the bike sat for a while with out being run. if the rings are dry,and the cylender is dry, should there be compression? i loaded the cylenders down with PB blaster, oil and liquid wrench, trying to lub and clean the rings. i will let it sit tonight, and check tomarrow.

If the rings are stuck, it can definitely effect compresion.

mk, my 71 sat for 15 years, 1987-2002. It was started twice in that time. Fresh gas, clean carbs, new battery will do wonders. If it

ran any better than it does I'd be afraid to ride it. Relax, there is still a month of winter here in the Midwest.


Sounds like the motorcycle fever has got ya!
