making jacket padding
« on: August 23, 2010, 09:07:52 AM »
I got a good deal on a Dainese jacket and the only problem I've got with it is that it doesn't come with a padded back.  It's got a slot for a back protector but otherwise nothing.  I plan on getting a hold of a back protector in the near future but is there some material that's readily available that I could cut a pad out of and place in the back protector pocket in the jacket for the time being?

I suggested to my wife she knit and felt an inch thick woolen slab for me to use.  She seemed intrigued by the idea but I'm sure there's better alternatives.
